How to Maximize Space with Efficient Workbench Storage Solutions

If  you have a workbench, you’re going to want to  use that space efficiently. One way is  to tuck some storage  cabinets under the work surface. These cabinets can hold tools such as hammers,  screwdrivers and wrenches. That’s also a  place where you may store other material, like wood or metal. Another smart idea is to employ pegboards above your workbench on a wall. Tools can be clearly displayed and easily reached when you  hang them on the pegboard. This free your work surface and allow you to see them. You  can also label sections in your cabinets. For example, post a  sign that reads “Screws” or “Paint.” This will make it easier to remember  where everything goes. It’s a  good idea to group like  things together.  Store all of your painting things — brushes, paints — in one armoire and all of  your electronic tools in another. That way, you don’t  have to rummage around  a cluttered cabinet. Don’t forget about vertical space! Above your workbench, you might be able to mount shelves for things that are not used every day  — extra cans of paint or tools for planting (if they’re  seasonal). This leaves your primary workspace open. Also, think about using small clear bins. You can glance at what’s  inside without opening each and every box.  It’s so much easier to find browsing for tiny  screws or nails. Organize your workbench with these tips to maximize space. It will enable you to concentrate better, get into the groove with your projects and have more fun in the process.
